Dorries vows to ‘unleash Channel 4’s potential’

In the opposition debate on the sale of Channel 4, culture secretary Nadine Dorries vowed to protect Channel 4’s “public service broadcasting remit” as the government aims to “unleash Channel 4’s full potential”.

Dorries promised a white paper that would “allow broadcasters to flourish”.

Labour’s Lucy Powell shared her concern that a Channel 4 sale would be “undermining and selling off a great British institution”.
