Government ‘out of touch’ over financial support

A new bill is being proposed to the House of Commons tomorrow to provide financial support to those who don’t currently qualify for help from the government.

Excluded UK calculated that over three million people are slipping through the net of Covid-19 financial assistance from the state.

Tracy Brabin, the MP for Batley and Spen will launch her appeal for the bill in a Ten Minute Rule Motion on Wednesday afternoon.

Ms Brabin says workers who’ve slipped through the net for financial support feel unacknowledged and abandoned by the government.
