Cystic Fibrosis Trust response to Ofgem energy cap increase

“Today’s announcement from Ofgem that the energy cap is falling comes at a time of continued financial challenges for people affected by cystic fibrosis, who often face higher energy bills for heating, essential appliances, and equipment to stay well.  Sadly, without additional government support, these financial pressures will only get worse. We need a longer-term, permanent solution that gives financial security and relieves the anxiety of soaring energy bills.

We are joining over 70 organisations in supporting Martin Lewis’s (Money Saving Expert) campaign, calling on the Government to postpone the 20% increase to the energy price guarantee from April, keeping it at £2,500/yr for a typical household.”
