Politics.co.uk’s editor-at-large, Ian Dunt, says it would be “irresponsible” of Westminster to deny Scotland a second independence referendum.

Whilst acknowledging that legally the government can block Indyref2, Dunt claimed that in doing so, “you might as well put a bomb under the unionist case”.

Nicola Sturgeon has suggested that the SNP will look to pass legislation in Holyrood for a second referendum this summer.
