‘Farmers will lose their livelihoods’

Leader of the SNP in the House of Commons Ian Blackford criticised the government’s proposed Australia deal today in the Commons.

Speaking at prime minister’s questions, Blackford said: “Farmers will lose their livelihoods, rural businesses will collapse, and ultimately families will be driven off the land.”

Johnson responded saying that Blackford “grossly underestimates” the ability of Scottish crofters to do “great things”.
