Responding to the latest inflation statistics, Claire Harding, Research Director, Centre for London said:

“Inflation is stabilising, but the impact of inflation is still causing huge disruption to Londoners.

London has the highest proportion of renters in the country and rents are rising fast even as inflation starts to ease, adding to what is already the highest cost of living in the country.

London’s businesses will be affected by continuing inflation as well – while businesses are continuing to attract foreign investment, they need the government to tackle London’s housing and transport challenges so that the city remains an attractive place to live and work.”
