Julian Smith

Biography

Julian Smith was elected as Conservative MP for Skipton and Ripon on May 6th 2010 with a majority of 9,950.

Julian lives near Skipton and in London.

Julian was born in 1971 in Stirling.

He was educated at a local comprehensive and received a sixth form bursary to Millfield School, Somerset. After leaving school, Julian was asked to coach a squash team in Perpignan, France for a year prior to attending Birmingham University where he read English and History.

Julian set up Arq International in 1999, his executive recruitment company.

Julian is a former board member of the Hoxton Apprentice, and is involved with a number of other charities.

Julian is married to Amanda.
