Local elections 2021: ‘Low turnouts damage democracy’

A new study on this year’s local elections has found that up to 1 in 4 people could stay away from the polls over covid fears.


The joint poll led by HOPE not hate also found that people from minority communities and younger voters are more likely to be deterred.
