Biography:

Seema Kennedy was elected MP for South Ribble on May 7th 2015 with 24313 votes, taking 46.4% of the vote.

Seema started volunteering and being involved in charities when she was a teenager. Her passion for public service grew within the years, when she developed her conviction regarding the importance of the idea of duty and the lack of prominence it has in modern societies. Before starting her political career, she worked as a solicitor in the City and in her family’s business.

Born in 1974 in Lancashire to an Iranian father and a British mother, she went to live as a newborn in Iran, but her family had to flee from the country for the Islamic Revolution.
