Biography:

Luciana Berger was elected as Labour MP for Liverpool Wavertree on May 7th 2015 with 28401 votes, taking 69.3% of the vote.

She has been Shadow Minister for Climate Change from 2012 to October 2013, when she became Shadow Minister for Public Health. Prior to these roles, she has been a member of the Business, Innovation and Skills 2010, Finance and Services 2010, Arms Export Controls 2010 committees. In November 2012 Luciana created a film titled Breadline Britain dealing with food poverty and its implications.

Luciana grew up in Wembley. After doing degrees at Birmingham and London Universities – and being involved in student politics – she worked for Accenture. Working in their Government Strategy Unit, she advised the Treasury and several other government departments.

She then worked for the NHS Confederation. She has been involved as a school governor and a safer neighbourhood rep.
