Shapps to P&O Ferries: ‘The game is up’

In a statement to the House of Commons, transport secretary Grant Shapps laid out a “package of nine measures that will force them (P&O Ferries) to rethink their decision”.

Shapps admitted that government threats so far had “fallen on deaf ears” but “no British workers should be treated this way” and that the “game is up”.

Measures included collaborating with other nations to create a global framework for an “international living wage”.
