Rees-Mogg’s Brexit freedoms dashboard met with ‘vanity project’ criticism

In a statement to the House of Commons, Brexit opportunities minister Jacob Rees-Mogg announced a dashboard on which the UK population can highlight issues with EU laws that have been carried into UK law following Brexit.

Labour’s Stephen Doughty described it as a “vanity project”, questioning the cost of the dashboard in the middle of a cost of living crisis.

Rees-Mogg defended his announcement, telling MPs that “reforms are essential for dealing with a cost of living crisis”.
