Rees-Mogg rejects claims of ‘suspicious’ Covid contracts

During cabinet questions, deputy Labour leader Angela Rayner and government efficiency minister Jacob Rees-Mogg clashed on what Rayner called “suspicious” PPE contracts during the pandemic.

Rees-Mogg told the House of Commons that “these charges made by the Socialists are completely false”.

The former leader of the House explained that the government “delivered” on calls at the time to provide “PPE in unprecedented quantities”.
