New bill would allow same-sex marriage in Church of England

The Labour MP Ben Bradshaw today proposed a 10 minute rule bill on allowing same-sex marriage in the Church of England.

Introducing the bill, Mr Bradshaw said: “It would allow in certain circumstances those priests and parishes that wish to, to conduct same sex weddings. A solution similar to the one governing the remarriage of divorcees, or whether or not a parish should be forced to have a woman priest.”.
