Huddleston defends government delays in implementing football fan-led review recommendations

In a statement to the House, Digital, Culture, Media and Sport under-secretary promised a “new world with more regulation and with financial regulation” when it comes to English football.

Huddleston defended criticism from the opposition of delays, telling the House that the changes are “incredibly complex”.

Chair of the fan-led review Tracey Crouch focused on the positives, stating that “today is a good day for football fans”.  Crouch explained that changes “do not threaten our game, but will make it stronger than ever”.
