House of Commons in support of ‘bold and broad’ review on child social care

In a statement to the House of Commons, education under-secretary Will Quince revealed the priorities of his “bold and broad” review of child social care.

Quince admitted that the current care system is “unacceptable”, vowing for better support for vulnerable children and their families.

The House of Commons broadly supported the review, with Labour’s Helen Hayes telling the MPs that its conclusion is a “terrible indictment of the extent to which the government has been failing children”.
