Defence Minister Jeremy Quin updates MPs on Ukraine

The general debate on Ukraine was opened by the defence minister Jeremy Quin as he updated the House of Commons on how the Uk is supporting Ukraine against Putin’s invasion.

Quin alluded to the military response in which the UK has provided “1.3 billion” so far and the diplomatic support that included “increased cooperation on security” with Sweden and Finland.

When asked whether the UK would aid Moldova against Russia as it has with Ukraine, Quin told the House that “there is no current plan”, but underlined the “close relationship” that the Uk wants to continue to foster with Moldova.
