Responding to Rachel Reeves’ speech on the economy today (Tuesday), TUC General Secretary Paul Nowak said:

“Working families desperately need economic stability and a government that will make work pay.

“The last 14 years have been terrible for household budgets with real wages still worth less than in 2008.

“The New Deal and Green Prosperity Plan will set Britain on a course for better growth and living standards.”
