NASUWT BSF lobby: Operational note

Coaches carrying lobbyists will begin to arrive at the Methodist Central Hall in Westminster from 10.00am.

The NASUWT will be distributing lobby packs from 11.00am which are available for the media from the Robert Perks Room in the Methodist Central Hall.

A rally will take place in the Library of the Methodist Central Hall starting at 1pm - the media are invited to attend. Speakers will include parents from Tamworth and from Nottingham, Brendan Barber TUC General Secretary and Rt Hon. Ed Balls, Shadow Secretary of State for Education.

At 2pm the rally will break up and participants will then walk via Great Smith Street past the DfE buildings to College Green for interviews and photo opportunities before going on to the House of Commons to carry on the lobby of Parliament.

Debate begins on the Academies Bill at 2.30pm in the House of Commons.
