BASC’s scholarship programme opens for 2022 applications

Applications for BASC’s legacy funded scholarship programme aimed at supporting further education opportunities in conservation, land management and gamekeeping have opened for the 2022 intake.

The scholarship is directed at assisting students wanting to progress their education in the land management sector. Scholarships this year are in memory of Mr Herbert Heywood, who kindly left a legacy to the Association.

Successful applicants will receive a maximum grant of £4,500 per year to go towards their tuition fees, course costs or study materials.

Curtis Mossop, BASC’s head of pathways to shooting, said: “In its fourth year the scholarship opportunity is growing in stature and achievement. Previous applicants are successfully entering the sector thanks to BASC’s legacy funded scholarship programme. To date, BASC has supported individuals studying diplomas through to masters degrees, a fact we are very proud of.”
