Miliband hits new poll low

Ed Miliband has hit a new low in his personal approval ratings, despite a strong performance from Labour.
This morning's YouGov poll for the Sunday Times saw just 27% of respondents say the Labour leader was doing a good job, compared to 57% who disagreed.
The news is particularly damaging coming in a week where Nick Clegg and David Cameron both improved their performance.
Twenty per cent believe Mr Clegg is doing a good job, compared to 69% who disagree.
Forty per cent are satisfied with Mr Cameron's performance, compared to 52% who are unsatisifed.
The Cameron figure is a broad continuation of his general performance, but the Clegg figure is one of the best he has recorded for some time.
The headline figures put Labour ahead with 40%, the Conservatives on 36% and the Liberal Democrats on nine per cent.
The poll also hinted at a small advantage for the government in its battle over public sector pensions
Asked if they thought it was right for the government to ask public sector workers to contribute more of their salary towards their pension, 44% said it was right and 39% said it was wrong. Seventeen per cent were unsure.
Thirty-eight per cent of respondents supported the strike action while 49% opposed it.
