The Conservative party has been sharply criticised by Keane’s drummer Richard Hughes for using the band’s music during this morning’s manifesto launch.

Richard Hughes made plain his dismay on Twitter: “Told the Tories played Keane at their manifesto launch. Am horrified. To be clear – we were not asked. I will not vote for them.”

The band’s 2004 hit, Everbody’s Changing was used this morning at the launch of the Conservative’s manifesto in Battersea, south london.

No-one from Conservative central office was able to comment when contacted.
