New Fathers 4 Justice stunt at Downing Street

Protestors from the fathers’ campaign group Fathers 4 Justice have launched a new stunt to coincide with Labour’s launch of its family friendly policies.

The three men – dressed as Batman, Robin and Captain America – have scaled a balcony overlooking Downing Street.

They are around 30 foot up, to the left of the main Downing Street entrance gates and intend to hold a vigil until later this evening. The police are now believed to be in attendance.

This stunt follows the latest in a series of high profile political interventions for the group, including their infamous pelting of Tony Blair with purple flour during Prime Minister’s Question Time.

One of the men in the latest process is believed to be Jason Hatch, who scaled Buckingham Palace in September 2004.

They are calling for a change in the family law procedures to grant fathers equal access to their children, claiming the current system discriminates against men and fails to tackle mothers who refuse to allow fathers’ access to their children.

The Government says that though it wants to promote children’s access to both parents, children can not be split 50:50.

The group says its activities will become increasingly political in the run up to the general election.
