Conservatives reshuffle health and education teams

Conservative leader Michael Howard has reshuffled his health and education teams this afternoon.

Epsom and Ewell MP Chris Grayling has moved from the education team, where he had responsibility for higher education, to join Andrew Lansley’s health team.

Replacing him is Wealden MP Charles Hendry, who adds universities to his current responsibilities for young people within Tim Collin’s education team, and the deputy chairmanship.

A Conservative Party spokesman told politics.co.uk: “It’s a minor readjustment to make us a leaner meaner fighting machine ahead of the General Election.”
