Lord Frost holds talks with French EU Minister for second time in 7 days

A Downing Street spokesperson has said that Brexit Minister Lord Frost has held talks with to the France’s Europe minister Clement Beaune for the second time in seven days.

On Thursday he met the minister in Paris.

The spokesperson said the pair discussed the Northern Ireland Protocol and post-Brexit fishing licenses, and said they would meet again later this week.

Earlier today Northern Ireland’s deputy first minister Michelle O’Neill blasted Lord Frost for using “incendiary language” in reference to the Protocol, and called on the UK government to withdraw its threat to trigger Article 16 which would suspend aspects of the deal.
