Aid cuts: ‘Poverty is a political choice’

MPs from both sides of the chamber criticised the government’s plans to cut foreign aid spending today in the House of Commons.

Labour MP Sarah Owen said: “Poverty is a political choice, and cutting aid to the world’s poorest, at this time, is a very poor political choice.”
