Conservatives: The poll does not represent doctors’ views

A Conservative party spokesperson said in response to the BMA’s survey:

“This poll is unscientific. It is self-selecting and does not represent the views of doctors in this country. Less than ten per cent of those asked to respond to the poll have done so.

“Far more telling are figures which show that there are already GPs in more than 5000 surgeries signed up to our plans, covering 35 million patients in England. The reality is that GPs are voting with their actions and are embracing the opportunities we are offering them to deliver better care for their patients.”
