Centre for London response to death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth
Following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, Chief Executive of Centre for London Nick Bowes said:
“This is a day of sorrow for millions of Londoners.
For over seventy years, the Queen has been a symbol of the city to millions of people around the world.
Her reign spanned a period of dramatic change for London, from emerging out of the ruins of the war through to its transformation into a modern global city that many across the world look to as a beacon of tolerance and hope.
London stands ready as the focus of the coming period of national mourning.”
