Biography:
Robert Wilson was re-elected MP for Reading East on May 7th 2015 with 23217 votes, taking 46.0% of the vote.
He was born and brought up in south Oxfordshire before moving to Reading in 1984. He arrived in Reading as a student attending Reading University. He is married to Jane and they have three young children and currently live in Thames ward. Rob has also lived in Park, Redlands and Caversham wards. He has represented local people as a councillor on Reading Borough Council.
He was first elected in 2005. In 2014 he was appointed Minister for Civil Society by Prime Minister David Cameron.
