Crossrail bill

"There will be legislation to tackle congestion and improve public transport."

This will push forward with the proposed Crossrail transport scheme, including its construction, maintenance and operation.

This hybrid bill has had a torrid time. First introduced in the 2004/05 session when it failed to get beyond first reading, it stalled in committee in both the 2005/06 and 2006/07 sessions.
