Child maintenance bill

“My government will introduce measures to ensure that children and young people are given the best possible start in life.”
This will amend the Child Support Act 1992 to simplify the assessment for child maintenance payments and strengthen enforcement.
The bill made it to committee stage in the 2006/07 parliament.
