Jon Hedley Trickett

Biography

Jon Trickett was re-elected MP for Hemsworth in May 2010 with a majority of 9,844 votes.

Jon has lived in Yorkshire all of his life. He has been a trade unionist and member of the Labour Party since the 1960s and was elected to Parliament in 1996 after the death of sitting Labour MP Derek Enwright. Jon was leader of Leeds City Council before being elected as MP for Hemsworth and beore that worked as a plumber on building sites. He attended university in both Leeds and Hull.
