DoH: Genetic paternity testing
Tuesday, 04 Mar 2008 00:00
Changes to the law have prompted a review of the government's voluntary code of practice for DNA paternity testing.
Both the market and legislation governing genetic testing have seen many changes since the code was introduced in March 2001, prompting the Department of Health to consult on how best to review the code.
In particular it does not contain compliance monitoring or enforcement mechanisms and does not take into account the Human Tissue Act 2005.
The consultation ends on May 5th 2008.
