DfID: Statebuilding in Rwanda
Wednesday, 05 Mar 2008 17:11
The UK government is re-evaluating the nature of its focus on improving Rwanda.
It has already made a long-term commitment to the central African country, having signed a ten-year memorandum of understanding in 2006 on providing a framework for aid.
Now the Department for International Development is consulting on how best to help the Rwandan government in the next three years.
"Early thinking" suggests focusing on the health millennium development goals, helping citizens hold the government to account and improving DfID's ability to monitor results should be among its priorities.
The consultation ends on May 23rd 2008.
