Berr: Nuclear decommissioning
Friday, 22 Feb 2008 00:00
Earlier this year the government came down in favour of new nuclear power stations in Britain.
Part of the conditions it is placing upon potential constructors is that money is set aside from day one for the stations' eventual decommissioning.
The Department of Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform is now consulting on the extent of the funded decommissioning programmes it requires.
The consultation ends on May 16th 2008.
