Week inWestminster: June 14th - 18th

Friday, 11 June 2010 12:00 AM

Parliament is nearly back into the swing of things, with the Queen's Speech debate over and the chairs of select committees confirmed. Their work hasn't quite got going yet, but the wheels are slowly starting to turn.

Tuesday sees debate on the business committee, private members bills, sittings of the House and select committee houses. Speaker John Bercow is understood to be sympathetic to the idea that private members' bills should be made more prominent than their Friday 'graveyard slot' allows. Meanwhile, it's David Cameron's third PMQs on the government side of the House on Wednesday. Most analysts concluded he wiped the floor with Harriet Harman last week. Same again?
