Customer Service skills are crucial but Employees still lack the basics

The Business Services Association (BSA) and the Public and Commercial Services Union (PCS) are pleased to invite you to the launch of their joint Skills Project Survey Report at 10 am on Monday 26th June 2006 at the DTI Conference Centre, 1 Victoria Street, London SW1H 0ET

Jim Fitzpatrick MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Employment Relations at the Department of Trade and Industry and BSA Director-General Norman Rose, along with leading figures in the outsourcing sector, trade unionists, politicians and individuals from the skills development sector will be in attendance to demonstrate their support for the project.

The report will assert that better customer service skills are crucial in the Government services sector. Employers need staff with better customer services skills to compete with their rivals and employees want to improve their skills to develop their careers. Yet, the report reveals that many employers don’t offer this training despite that fact that up to 10% of employees lack the skills they need.

Copies of the report will be available at the launch event - or email sean@pcs.org.uk for your personal copy

We do hope you will be able to join us for this important event – just let Sean Ruddy know at the above address, or call him on 020 7786 6304
