Podcast: Young people and politics
Budding politicians at one MP's summer school offer their take on the problems bedevilling young people's involvement in politics.
Labour MP Gavin Shuker's unusual summer programme for would-be politicos has given them practical experience of serving their local community.
Alex Stevenson Follow @alex__stevenson travelled to Luton town centre to see what they're up to - and took the opportunity to get their views on the problems of disengagement putting off so many young people from taking in politics at all.
Their responses - whether opposing votes at 16 or calling for politics to take a much more prominent place on the national curriculum - were fascinating. But their frustrations don't look like they'll be going away in a hurry. And even some in this very engaged group remain deeply unhappy with the current state of affairs.
