Voice: the union for education professionals – which represents teachers, lecturers, education support staff, head teachers, nursery staff, nannies, and student teachers and childcarers across the UK – has launched its first full-length online video.
Produced by Politics.co.uk, the video explains why Voice members do not go on strike and sets out the union’s core values: the “strength of negotiation”, independence, supporting children while protecting its members, and “every member is unique” – providing a high quality “dedicated and personal service”.
The video features interviews with General Secretary Deborah Lawson and Senior Professional Officer (Early Years & Childcare) Tricia Pritchard from the union’s Derby headquarters, Professional Officer Dougie Atkinson from Voice’s Edinburgh office and Andy Garwood, Regional Officer for London & South East England, who talk about the union’s philosophy and how they help and support members.
