General secretary election

At the close of nominations on 31 May 2017, Deborah Lawson was re-elected unopposed as General Secretary of Voice: the union for education professionals.

Deborah Lawson said: "I am delighted to be re-elected to represent Voice members, and look forward to working with you during the next five years. Thank you to all those who supported my nomination.

"The last five years have been interesting and not least because of the changes imposed on the education and childcare sector and all those professionals who work in the sectors.

"With a General Election a week away and Brexit negotiations due to start soon, the next five years will be equally interesting I am sure.

"We will, however, continue to work together to secure the best for all education and childcare professionals, children and students."
