April 2008 marked the start of vinvolved, England’s biggest ever youth action programme. Through vinvolved, v is investing £75m in youth volunteering over three years, with the aim of creating 500,000 new opportunities for young people, building on the investment that we have already made through our first grants round.

More information about vinvolved is available here.

v is also making a significant investment through the match-fund programme, which allows us to match pound for pound any contribution that the private sector makes to youth volunteering. To date, we have secured £32m in pledges from the private sector, working with companies such as T-Mobile, MTV, Tesco, ITV and Sky. We will be re-launching the Match-Fund later this year so watch this space.

More information on the Match-Fund is available here.

Developed by our youth advisory board, v20, and supported by HSBC, we are also making funding available to young people themselves through vcashpoint. This youth fund offers grants of up to £2500 for young people aged 16 to 25 in England to set up their own volunteering projects in their local community.

More information on vcashpoint is available here.
