SOE: Transport Engineer website delivers the goods for professional fleet engineers
Friday, 22 January 2010 12:00 AM
Hot on the heels of the redesigned January issue of IRTE's (Institute of Road Transport Engineers) industry-leading technical journal, Transport Engineer, a new website www.transportengineer.org.uk provides a host of dynamic features designed specifically for professional transport engineers and operators.
With daily news from the industry, the site boasts an unmatched archive of Transport Engineer feature, reference and case study content, plus jobs, people news, videos on the TE-TV channel, white papers and much more. For the first time, a fully integrated supplier directory also allows transport engineers to find suppliers of all products and services related to the industry - with links to related news and feature stories. A free-subscription and an e-zine service also keeps readers up-to-date with the latest news.
IRTE forms part of SOE (Society of Operations Engineers), a membership organisation with nearly sixty-five years' experience developing engineering professionals.
SOE President Chris Grime said: "Readers of Transport Engineer now have an array of crucial information and services at their fingertips, as well as a first class technical magazine that continues to provide essential industry news. For the first time, all the information professional road transport engineers need to support them in their daily work, can be found in one place."
Some material on the website www.transportengineer.org.uk is restricted to IRTE/SOE members and is not available elsewhere. This service is the latest in a string of additional benefits IRTE members receive, giving road transport engineering professionals a real competitive advantage.
Transport Engineer magazine and website are produced on behalf of IRTE by Findlay Media, the UK's leading publishing house among the engineering and technical communities. As publishers of SOE's other technical magazine, Plant Engineer, Findlay Media has a long-standing relationship with SOE and its members.
