. Childrens Workforce
The Children's Workforce brings together people working with children and young people in health, social care, education, justice, youth work, play and other related areas.
. Community Justice
The Community Justice strand of the Justice sector covers:
- Community safety and crime prevention
- Prevention of offending and re-offending
- Supervision of offenders in the community
- Community-based rehabilitation projects
- Services for victims, survivors and witnesses
. Courts
The Court Service, an executive agency of the Department for Constitutional Affairs, and magistrates' courts provide court services in England and Wales.
. Custodial Care
The Custodial Care area of the Justice sector covers:
- Detention
- Secure escort services
- Prevention of re-offending
- Electronic monitoring services
. Fire & Rescue Services
From April 2009, the UK's Fire & Rescue Services became subscribers to Skills for Justice. This means that people working for Fire & Rescue Services across the UK can start to benefit from the range of workforce development solutions, products and services that we currently provide to other organisations.
. Forensic Science
We have created a Forensic Science Occupational Committee that consists of representatives of stakeholders involved in Forensic Science in the UK. It is the role of the committee to represent the needs of forensic science organisations and help us prioritise our work.
. Policing and Law Enforcement
We work closely with all Police Forces and Law Enforcement agencies throughout the UK and their associated Government Departments, National Assemblies and Staff Associations. Our aim is to increase the use of a Competency Based Approach across training, learning and development and human resources in all forces and agencies.
. Prosecution
The Prosecution area of the Justice sector covers:
- Investigation of sudden or suspicious deaths
- Production and issue of summonses
- Preparation of cases for court
- Public prosecutions
