RSPCA launches new iPhone app for pet owners and animal lovers

The RSPCA My Pet app brings you the latest news from the RSPCA and also:

- A diary to store information about your pet and set reminders for key dates like vaccinations, flea treatments and pet insurance renewal.

- Handy pet care facts and tips for cats, dogs, rabbits and guinea pigs.

- A fun pet scrapbook where you can choose background images and photo frames to create a gallery of your pet's best pictures.

- You can share news on Twitter and news and scrapbook pictures on Facebook

- RSPCA head of e-marketing Laura Donaldson said: "With more and more people now using smart phones, we wanted to create something for pet owners on the move.

"The app is good fun, but it's also designed to be useful for pet owners and will help them keep up to date on their pets' needs. It contains lots of pet care advice and has a really easy to use diary.

"The pet scrapbook contains some great backgrounds and frames for you to create your own pet slideshow. Now you can keep up with RSPCA news and appeals when you're on the move, and you might even find a new pet!"

The RSPCA My Pet app is free to download from iTunes. It is currently available for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad users only.
