Today’s news that budget airline Ryanair has seen a 29 per cent drop in profits as a result high fuel costs comes as no surprise to the Road Haulage Association.
The Road Haulage Association has called on the Department for Transport to "end VOSA’s monopoly on annual test of HGVs" and allow the private sector to carry out statutory annual tests of trucks – ending the monopoly of its executive agency, the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency.
