RHA Awards Lunch, 12th October 2010

Wednesday, 8 September 2010 12:00 AM

Next month the RHA Awards for Excellence Lunch will be held on October 12 at the Grand Connaught Rooms, 61 - 65 Great Queen Street, London, England, WC2B 5DA.

The Grand Connaught Rooms have recently undergone extensive refurbishment and will provide a fabulous backdrop for one of the key events in the transport industry calendar, The RHA Awards for Excellence Lunch.

These awards have been devised as a means of recognising those who have shown loyalty and dedication, to the UK road transport industry in general and to the Road Haulage Association in particular. Categories cover Industry Personality of the Year, Transport Manager of the Year, Sub-Contractor of the Year, Unsung Hero of the Year and RHA Employee of the Year.

Nominated entrants must be in the employment of a current RHA member or on the paid staff of the RHA. In the case of the Subcontractor of the Year award the subcontracting company/owner-driver must be a current RHA member. Both RHA members and staff can nominate for all categories and the closing date for award entries is Friday, 17 September 2010.

'Our intention is to fill some of the gaps left by other industry awards", said event organiser Chris Seaton. "This is an industry that relies not just an efficient infrastructure, its workforce is equally important. We hope that the RHA Awards for Excellence will go some way to recognising the contribution made in areas which may, at times, be taken for granted or overlooked.

The RHA Awards lunch is the perfect occasion to show your customers the hard work that goes towards making today's transport industry great. Don't just tell them how good you are, why not take a table and show them!

In addition to the Awards for Excellence, the Association is delighted to welcome as principal speaker, Mike Penning MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Transport.

There are still places available at this prestigious event priced at £80 + VAT. In addition, there are a few tables left at £800 each + VAT. For a booking form, contact Chris Seaton on 01733 261131 or 000007979 531451. Alternatively, email awardslunch@rha.uk.net.
