BASC offer more countryside activity opportunities in Oxfordshire

Tuesday, 24 Jun 2008 09:54
There will be plenty of opportunities for people in Oxfordshire to get involved in countryside activities this summer.

On 11 July, an adult training day has been organised in the grounds of Common Leys Farm offering people a chance to find out more about clay shooting. Guests will receive BASC coaching with all clays, cartridges, use of guns and lunch included. There will also be a talk and demonstration from Roger Hance about the history of firearms. The day costs £65 per person.

On August 13, BASC has organised its first conservation activity day which will introduce youngsters to wildlife and conservation techniques and give them hands on experience of the wildlife around them. This event costs just £15 per person.

Finally, on 6 September, BASC is hosting a Centenary Dinner and Dance in Thame. The evening includes a 3 course meal and live music from the Brass Farthings. Tickets for this event are £40 and are selling fast so order tickets by July 31st to avoid disappointment.
