Unite: NHS day of protest Friday 18th July

Next Friday (18th July 2008) Unite members will stage a series of national protests against the imposition of a three year pay deal.

The Unite Day of Protest is being held to send a strong message to the government from workers across the NHS to say: ‘Cut my pay – no way!’

Workers are angry that they are being forced to accept a pay offer which represents a significant pay cut. Staff will protest at locations across the country at lunchtime next Friday.

The national day of protest will include action in: London, Brighton, Norwich, Liverpool, Manchester, Nuneaton, Leeds, Poole and Nottingham. Unite members will have t-shirts, flags, hand paddles, stickers and leaflets for the public.
