Women in South Wales will get the chance to try clay shooting and other country sports at a special BASC event near Cardiff on 27 September.
The ladies’ country sports experience day will include instruction in clay target shooting, fly-casting and falconry as well as a demonstration of gundog training and handling. The event will take place at the Dyffryn Springs Fishery in Dyffryn St. Nicholas.
BASC’s director for Wales, Glynn Cook, said: ”These events offer women the opportunity to make contacts and practise their skills in a friendly environment and these days are increasingly popular as more women are becoming interested in country sports.”
Participants are not required to hold a shotgun certificate and all the equipment, shotguns and cartridges will be provided. Coffee and biscuits on arrival, lunch and afternoon tea are all included in the cost of £30 per person. Please contact BASC Wales for an application form on 01686 688861 or wales@basc.org.uk.
