BASC: ‘How to’ workshops on offer through BASC South West
Monday, 12 May 2008 11:59
BASC South West has launched a new series of ‘how to’ workshops, designed to provide an introduction to live quarry shooting.
The first of which, an introduction to pigeon shooting, is being held at Somerton in Somerset on 15 August 2008, covering topics such as pigeon shooting law, gun safety, decoying, flighting and roost shooting, gun and cartridge suitability and dangers in the field.
James Green, BASC south west regional officer, said: “BASC regularly canvasses members through surveys and face to face at shows and events. In reaction to the response we have formed a series of ‘how to’ workshops enabling members to learn new skills adding to their overall shooting experience.”
The day will run through theory in the morning with practical ‘in the field’ experience after lunch. The day will run from 9.45am till 3.30pm and lunch will be provided. The cost of each workshop is £60.00
